Contributions : National and International arena I. Pioneer Hepato Biliary Pancreatic Surgeon of Bangladesh. Established the first Department of Hepato-Biliary-Pancreatic Surgery of Bangladesh at BIRDEM Hospital in 1999. II. As chief Liver Transplant Surgeon, organized the first two successful Liver transplants of Bangladesh at BIRDEM. III. Founder of the National Liver Foundation of Bangladesh: A philanthropic organization dedicated to Prevention, Treatment, Education and Research on Liver diseases in Bangladesh. This organization is a member of World Hepatitis Alliance, Geneva. NLFB is representing Bangladesh in the international arena regarding liver diseases.
